Differential Oil Seal: Replacement

- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
- DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL
- Using SST, remove the transmission case oil seal.

- Using SST, remove the transmission case oil seal.
- REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL
- Using SST, remove the transaxle case oil seal.

- Using SST, remove the transaxle case oil seal.
- INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL
- Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

Standard depth:
9.6 to 10.2 mm (0.378 to 0.402 in.)
NOTE: Do not damage the oil seal lip.
- INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL
- Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

Standard depth:
1.6 to 2.2 mm (0.0630 to 0.0866 in.)
NOTE: Do not damage the oil seal lip.
- INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
