Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly: Removal
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
- Discharge fuel system pressure (See FUEL SYSTEM ).
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the fuel suction tube assembly from the fuel tank assembly (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
- Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
- REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness.
- Release the lock and slide the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.NOTE: Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
- REMOVE NO. 2 REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 4WD)
- Remove the rear floor service hole cover.
- REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE RH ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
- Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.
- Remove the 5 bolts and fuel sender gauge RH assembly.NOTE: Be careful not to bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge.
