Front Upper Suspension Arm: Removal

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE STABILIZER CONTROL VALVE PROTECTOR  (See REMOVAL )
2. OPEN STABILIZER CONTROL WITH ACCUMULATOR HOUSING SHUTTER VALVE  (See REMOVAL )
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
4. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE 
   1. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the sensor wire from the steering knuckle and suspension upper arm.

5. DISCONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE LH 
   1. Support the front suspension lower arm LH with a jack.
   2. Remove the clip and the nut.

   3. Using SST, disconnect the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

      SST 09628-62011 

      NOTE: Do not damage the ball joint dust cover.

6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH 
   1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and apron seal.

7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH 
   1. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and apron seal.

8. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSEMBLY 
   1. Remove the nut, bolt, 2 washers and suspension upper arm.
