On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. CHECK NO. 1 COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 cooling fan motor connector.
    2. Connect the battery and an ammeter to the No. 1 cooling fan motor connector.
    3. Check that the No. 1 cooling fan motor rotates smoothly, and then check the reading on the ammeter.

      Standard current 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Condition Specified Condition
      w/o Towing Package 5.3 to 11.3 A at 12 V
      w/ Towing Package 10.0 to 16.0 A at 12 V

      HINT:

      • Refer to the indication mark illustration for the indication mark location.
      • If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 cooling fan motor.
    4. Reconnect the No. 1 cooling fan motor connector.
  2. CHECK NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.
    2. Connect the battery and an ammeter to the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.
    3. Check that the No. 2 cooling fan motor rotates smoothly, and then check the reading on the ammeter.

    4. Reconnect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.
