Inspection Procedure

HINT:
- DTC P2610 is stored if an internal ECM problem is detected. Diagnostic procedures are not required. ECM replacement is necessary.
- Read freeze frame data using the Techstream. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
- REPLACE ECM
- Replace the ECM (See REMOVAL ).
- CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P2610)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Start the engine and wait for 10 minutes or more.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine/Trouble Codes/Pending.
- If no pending DTC is output, the repair has been successfully completed.
