Data List/Active Test

  1. DATA LIST 

    Using Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    1. Warm up the engine.
    2. Ignition switch off.
    3. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    4. Ignition switch on (IG).
    5. Turn the tester on.
    6. Enter the following menus:
      1. for Combination Meter: Body Electrical/Combination Meter/Data List.
      2. for ABS/VSC/TRAC: Chassis/ABS/VSC/TRAC/Data List.
      3. for Engine and ECT: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Data List.
      4. for Main Body: Body Electrical/Main Body/Data List.
    7. Check values by referring to the table below.

      Combination Meter:

      Coolant Temperature Engine coolant temperature: 0°C (32°F)to 127.5°C (261.5°F) After warming up: 80 to 95°C (176 to 203°F) -
      Washer Switch Washer level switch is OFF/ON OFF: Washer level is not low -
      ON: Washer level is low -
      Multi Display Select Switch MODE switch in the steering pad is OFF/ON OFF: Mode switch is OFF -
      ON: Mode switch is ON -
      +B Voltage Value Battery voltage/Min.: 0 V, Max.: 25.5 V 11 to 14 V -
      Fuel Input Fuel input signal Min.: 0, Max. 127.5 Fuel gauge indicates (E): 7.5 (L) -
      Fuel gauge indicates (1/2): 35.0 (L) -
      Fuel gauge indicates (F): 62.9 (L) -

      D-Seatbelt Warning Buzzer The condition of the driver side seat belt warning buzzer ON: The driver side seat belt warning buzzer sounds at the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or more when the driver side seat belt is unfastened The current setting of the driver side seat belt warning buzzer is displayed.
      OFF: The driver side seat belt warning buzzer does not sound at the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or more when the driver side seat belt is unfastened
      P-Seatbelt Warning Buzzer The condition of the front passenger side seat belt warning buzzer ON: The front passenger side seat belt warning buzzer sounds at the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or more when the front passenger side seat belt is unfastened The current setting of the front passenger side seat belt warning buzzer is displayed.
      OFF: The front passenger side seat belt warning buzzer does not sound at the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or more when the front passenger side seat belt is unfastened
      Units By Region The type of the unit in the multi-information display The customized setting of the multi-information display unit is displayed The current setting of the type of the unit in the multi-information display is displayed.
      Language ((1)) The type of the language in the multi-information display/English, French, or Spanish The customized setting of the multi-information display language is displayed The current setting of the type of the language in the multi-information display is displayed.
      Number of Trouble Code The number of the DTC which is currently output 0 -
      (1) The default setting differs according to the vehicle specification.

  2. Active Test 

    Using Techstream to perform Active Tests allows the relay, actuator, and other items to operate without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Test early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be display while performing Active Test.

    1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical/Combination Meter/Active Test.
    5. Check the operation by referring to the table below.
