How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

• Use the following procedures to troubleshoot the tire pressure warning system.
• *: Use Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
   1. Interview the customer to confirm the trouble.

   HINT:

   It is important to collect as much specific information as possible from the customer to allow for a quick repair.

3. ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE 
   1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   2. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
   3. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.
   4. Enter the following menus: Chassis/Tire Pressure Monitor/Data List.
   5. Read the "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" values.
   6. Adjust all tire pressures to the standard values (See TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM ).
   7. Check the DATA LIST (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).

   HINT:

   • It takes about 2 or 3 minutes to display the updated tire pressure data.
   • If the problem is that the tire pressure decreases, wait until all of the tire pressure data is received by the ECU. If the data is received, the tire pressure warning light will turn off.

4. CHECK FOR DTC*

5. DTC CHART

6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
   1. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
7. CIRCUIT INSPECTION* 
   1. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
8. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
   1. Repair or replace parts based on the diagnosis result.
9. CONFIRMATION TEST 
   1. Check the DATA LIST to confirm that the tire inflation pressure has been received (See DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
   2. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION ).
   3. Confirm that the initialization has been completed.
