FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE): Disassembly

1. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT AXLE INBOARD JOINT BOOT CLAMP 
   1. Using pliers, remove the No. 2 front axle inboard joint boot clamp as shown in the illustration.

2. REMOVE FRONT AXLE INBOARD JOINT BOOT CLAMP 
   1. Using pliers, remove the front axle inboard joint boot clamp as shown in the illustration.
3. SEPARATE INBOARD JOINT BOOT 
   1. Separate the inboard joint boot from the front axle inboard joint assembly.

4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE INBOARD JOINT ASSEMBLY 
   1. Put matchmarks on the front axle inboard joint assembly and front axle outboard joint shaft.
      NOTE: Do not use a punch for the marks.
   2. Remove the front axle inboard joint assembly from the front axle outboard joint shaft.

   3. Using a snap ring expander, remove the shaft snap ring.

   4. Put matchmarks on the outboard joint shaft and tripod joint.
      NOTE: Do not use a punch for the marks.
   5. Using a brass bar and a hammer, remove the tripod joint from the front axle outboard joint shaft.
      NOTE: Do not tap the roller.
   6. Remove the inboard joint boot from the front axle outboard joint shaft.

5. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT DAMPER CLAMP RH (for RH Side) 
   1. Using pliers, remove the front drive shaft damper clamp RH, as shown in the illustration.
6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT DAMPER RH (for RH Side) 
   1. Remove the front drive shaft damper RH from the front axle outboard joint shaft.

7. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT AXLE OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT CLAMP 
   1. Using pliers, remove the No. 2 front axle outboard joint boot clamp as shown in the illustration.

8. REMOVE FRONT AXLE OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT CLAMP 
   1. Using pliers, remove the front axle outboard joint boot clamp as shown in the illustration.
9. REMOVE OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT 
   1. Remove the outboard joint boot from the front axle outboard joint shaft.
   2. Remove the grease from the outboard joint.

10. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT DUST COVER 
    1. Using SST and a press, remove the front drive shaft dust cover.
