Shift Lever: Disassembly

REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing sub-assembly from the shift lock control unit.
  NOTE: Do not damage the floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly.

REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER
1. Remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator housing sub-assembly.
REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER
1. Remove the position indicator slide cover with the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the shift lock control unit.

REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER
1. Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.

REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Separate the position indicator light wire socket and connector from the shift lock control unit.

2. Using a screwdriver, release the stopper.
3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the locking lug of terminals 7 and 14, and pull the terminals out from the rear of the connector.
REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT BULB
1. Remove the bulb and cap from the indicator light wire socket.

REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Separate the connector from the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly.
2. Disengage the 3 claws and the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly from the shift lock control unit.
