Rear Brake Flexible Hose: Installation

1. Connect the rear brake flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.

   Torque: 33 N*m (337 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf)

2. Install the rear brake flexible hose with a new clip.
   NOTE:

   • When installing the rear brake flexible hose, face the identification mark toward the exterior of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the hose.
   • Install the clip as far as it will go.
3. Using SST, connect the brake line to the rear brake flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

   SST 09023-00101 

   Torque: 

   Without SST 

   15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) 

   With SST 

   14 N*m (143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

   NOTE:

   • Do not bend or damage the brake line.
   • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line from the connecting points.
   • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
   • This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.
4. Install the rear flexible hose to the shock absorber with the bolt.

   Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
