Front Brake Flexible Hose: Installation
- INSTALL FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE
- Connect the front brake flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.
Torque: 29 N*m (300 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the front flexible hose and the speed sensor to the shock absorber with the bolt.
Torque: 19 N*m (194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)
NOTE: When installing the front flexible hose and the speed sensor, the bracket must face toward the exterior of the vehicle. - Connect the brake tube to the front brake flexible hose with SST while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.
SST 09023-00101
Torque:
Without SST
15 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)
With SST
14 N*m (143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- Do not bend or damage the brake tube.
- Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting points.
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).
- This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.
- Install the front brake flexible hose with a new clip.
NOTE:- When installing the front brake flexible hose, face the identification mark toward the exterior of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the hose.
- Install the clip as far as it will go.
