Inspection Procedure

1. Check if CAN communication DTC is output (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).

B:  Go TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A: Go to next step 

1. Check if DTC B1244 is output (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

   Result

   B1244 is output	B (See DTC B1244 LIGHT SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION )

B:  GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Ignition switch on (IG).
3. Turn the tester on.
4. Turn the light control rheostat to the TAIL/HEAD position.
5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
6. Check the meter illumination.

   Main Body: 

   ACTIVE TEST - MAIN BODY

   OK: 

   The meter illumination is dimmed when the auto dimmer signal is ON. 

   HINT:

   Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS the sensitivity setting in the customization table of the lighting system .

NG: Go to step 4 

OK: CHECK LIGHTING SETTING 

1. Replace the combination meter assembly to a new or a normal one.

   OK: 

   The operation of the combination meter assembly returns to normal. 

NG: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU 

OK: END
