Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly: Removal

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (See PRECAUTION ).
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
HINT:

Refer to the procedures up to "REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY" (See REMOVAL ).
REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH
1. Remove the curtain shield airbag assembly LH in order shown in the illustration.
  1. Remove the 9 bolts in order of A to I.

2. Disconnect the connector from the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
  NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
