FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): Disassembly

  1. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB 
    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the snap ring as shown below.
      NOTE: Be careful not to lose snap ring.

    2. Remove the vertical seat adjuster knob.
  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE 
    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover.

  4. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and the vertical adjusting handle.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Disengage the hooks.

    2. Remove the 3 screws.
    3. Disengage the claw.
    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seat cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw.

    3. Separate the guide and remove the front seat cushion inner shield as shown below.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Disengage the clamp.
    2. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Disconnect the seat heater connector.

    3. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
    4. Disengage the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad as shown below.

  9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the 6 hog rings.

    2. Remove the 11 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Remove the 3 hog rings.

    2. Remove the 5 hog rings.

    3. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    4. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover to remove the nut, and separate the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover.

    5. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    6. Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
  11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the 7 hog rings and the separate type front seatback cover.

  12. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the cable from the active headrest upper unit as shown below.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and the active headrest upper unit.

  13. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT 
    1. Remove the 4 nuts and the active headrest lower unit.

  14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH as shown below.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and the guide, and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH as shown below.

  20. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR  (See REMOVAL )
  22. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)  (See REMOVAL )
  23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Disengage the each clamps and remove the front seat wire RH.
