Rear Door Belt Molding: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the terminal to prevent airbag deployment (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  4. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOLDING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Put protective tape around the rear door belt molding assembly.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door belt molding assembly.
      NOTE: Be careful when removing the molding as there are claws attached to the front end of the molding.
