Front Door Belt Molding: Removal
- DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the terminal to prevent airbag deployment (See PRECAUTION ).NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOLDING ASSEMBLY
- Put protective tape around the front door belt molding assembly.
- Disengage the 6 claws and remove the front door belt molding assembly.NOTE: Be careful when removing the molding as there are claws attached to the front and rear ends of the molding.
