Front Door Belt Molding: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the terminal to prevent airbag deployment (See PRECAUTION ).
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  4. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  5. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  6. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOLDING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Put protective tape around the front door belt molding assembly.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the front door belt molding assembly.
      NOTE: Be careful when removing the molding as there are claws attached to the front and rear ends of the molding.
