Terminals Of Ecu

  1. CHECK POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT (POWER BACK DOOR ECU)

    1. Disconnect the O15 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below:
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      O15-10 (ECUB) - Body ground BR - Body ground ECUB power supply Always 10 to 14 V
      O15-12 (B) - Body ground B - Body ground B power supply Always 10 to 14 V
      O15-8 (IG) - Body ground GR - Body ground IG power supply Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
      O15-8 (IG) - Body ground GR - Body ground IG power supply Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      O15-17 (MSW) - Body ground V - Body ground Power back door main switch signal circuit Power back door main switch not pushed Below 1 Ω
      O15-17 (MSW) - Body ground V - Body ground Power back door main switch signal circuit Power back door main switch pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      O15-20 (FUL) - Body ground LG - Body ground Back door courtesy light switch signal circuit Back door is opened Below 1 Ω
      O15-20 (FUL) - Body ground LG - Body ground Back door courtesy light switch signal circuit Back door is closed 10 kΩ or higher
      O15-4 (DS1) - Body ground P - Body ground Back door closer switch signal circuit Back door closer switch ON Below 1 Ω
      O15-4 (DS1) - Body ground P - Body ground Back door closer switch signal circuit Back door closer switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      O15-15 (OSL) - O15-14 (OSE) GR - Y Power back door touch sensor LH circuit Back door touch sensor LH not pressed Approx 1 kΩ
      O15-15 (OSL) - O15-14 (OSE) GR - Y Power back door touch sensor LH circuit Back door touch sensor LH pressed Below 100 Ω
      O15-13 (OSR) - O15-14 (OSE) R - Y Power back door touch sensor RH circuit Back door touch sensor RH not pressed Approx 1 kΩ
      O15-13 (OSR) - O15-14 (OSE) R - Y Power back door touch sensor RH circuit Back door touch sensor RH pressed Below 100 Ω
      O15-11 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the O15 ECU connector.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below:

      O15-26 (BZR+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power back door warning buzzer signal input Back door warning buzzer is sounding 10 to 14 V
      O15-26 (BZR+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power back door warning buzzer signal input Back door warning buzzer is stopped Below 1 V
      O15-2 (DC+) - O15-1 (DC-) B-G Power back door lock motor circuit Back door lock motor is operating 10 to 14 V
      O15-2 (DC+) - O15-1 (DC-) B-G Power back door lock motor circuit Back door lock motor is stopped Below 1 V
      O15-22 (HAF) - Body ground R - Body ground Back door lock half-latch switch signal circuit Back door is opened → Back door closer motor is operating → Back door is closed Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      O15-24 (POS) - Body ground LG - Body ground Back door lock position switch signal circuit Back door is opened → Back door closer motor is operating → Back door is closed Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V

      HINT:

      If the result is not as specified, the ECU may have a malfunction.

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU 
    1. Disconnect the D7, 1F and 1M connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      D7-2 (PBDS) - Body ground R - Body ground Power back door open / close switch signal circuit Power back door open / close switch ON Below 1 Ω
      D7-2 (PBDS) - Body ground R - Body ground Power back door open / close switch signal circuit Power back door open / close switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      1F-10 (GND1) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
      1M-9 (GND2) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
