Steering Pad Switch: Removal

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment (See PRECAUTION ).

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE STEERING PAD (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the pad switch connector from the spiral cable.
2. Remove the screw.
3. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch.

4. Remove the screw.
5. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
