Steering Pad Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 pins and install the steering pad switch.

    2. Install the screw.

      Torque: 2.4 N*m (24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf) 

    3. Engage the 2 pins and install the steering pad switch assembly.
    4. Install the screw.

      Torque: 2.4 N*m (24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf)

    5. Connect the pad switch connector to the spiral cable.
  2. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  6. INSPECT STEERING PAD  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
