Parking Brake Cable: Removal

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY
HINT:

Refer to the instructions for REMOVAL of the PARKING BRAKE PEDAL .
REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the adjusting nut.

2. Remove the clip.

3. Pull up the parking brake pedal claw and remove the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) (See REPLACEMENT )
SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE REAR DISC (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING (See DISASSEMBLY )
SEPARATE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT (See DISASSEMBLY )
SEPARATE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY WITH PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER (See DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the backing plate.

2. Remove the 2 bolts, 4 nuts, and the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET
1. Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable support bracket from the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly from the backing plate.

2. Remove the 2 bolts, 5 nuts, and the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET
1. Remove the parking brake cable support bracket from the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.
