Inspection Procedure

HINT:

If DTC U0100 has been stored, troubleshoot the CAN communication system first.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (TACHOMETER)

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the tester ON.

Perform the ACTIVE TEST according to the prompts displayed on the tester.

OK: Engine speed displayed on the tester is almost the same as that of the tachometer reading.

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

OK: Go TO NEXT STEP.

READ VALUE OF DATA LIST (TACHO METER)

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the tester ON.

Read the DATA LIST according to the prompts displayed on the tester.
