Inspection Procedure

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (FUEL GAUGE (A/D))

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the tester ON.

Perform the ACTIVE TEST according to the prompts displayed on the tester.

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

OK: Go TO NEXT STEP.

READ VALUE OF DATA LIST (FUEL GAUGE)

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch ON and the tester ON.

Read the DATA LIST according to the prompts displayed on the tester.

INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

Remove the fuel sender gauge.

Measure the resistance of the gauge.

NG: REPLACE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

OK: Go TO NEXT STEP.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY)

Disconnect the E19 meter connector.
Disconnect the S2 gauge connector

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
