Inspection Procedure

- INSPECT FUSE (GAUGE2, ECU-B, IG2)
- Remove the GAUGE2 fuse from the instrument panel junction block.
- Remove the ECU-B fuse from the No. 2 relay block.
- Remove the IG2 fuse from the No. 1 relay block.
- Measure the resistance of the fuses.
Standard resistance: Below 1
NG: REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT IG2 RELAY
- Remove the IG2 relay from the No. 1 relay block.
- Measure the resistance of the relay.

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCETester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 k or higher 3 - 5 Below 1
(when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
NG: REPLACE IG2 RELAY
OK: Go TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the E19 meter connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector. (See Fig 2).

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E19-22 (B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V E19-21 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V - Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
