Inspection Procedure

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).

B: REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).
- READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (AUTO LSD SWITCH)
- Check the Data List for proper functioning of the Auto LSD switch.
Skid control ECU

OFF: Auto LSD switch is OFF- OK: ON (downhill assist control switch is ON) appears on the screen.
NG: Go to step 5
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check the Data List for proper functioning of the Auto LSD switch.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (AUTO LSD INDICATOR LIGHT)
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, generate a control command, and then check that the AUTO LSD indicator light operates.
Skid control ECU

NG: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

- Select the ACTIVE TEST, generate a control command, and then check that the AUTO LSD indicator light operates.
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Inspect the combination meter (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
- INSPECT AUTO LSD SWITCH
- Disconnect the auto LSD switch switch.
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 - 6 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 6 Pushed Below 1Ω
NG: REPLACE AUTO LSD SWITCH
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AUTO LSD SWITCH - SKID CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the A19 ECU connector. (See Fig 2).
- Disconnect the E51 switch connector. (See Fig 2).
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
