Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (SECURITY, ECU-B2, BAT, ECU-IG1, AM1) 
    1. Remove the SECURITY and ECU-B2 fuses from the cowl side junction block RH.
    2. Remove the BAT fuse from the engine room junction block.
    3. Remove the ECU-IG1 and AM1 fuses from the cowl side junction block LH.
    4. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T5 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      T5-29 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

      Standard voltage 

      WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T5-2 (+B1) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      T5-3 (+B2) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      T5-10 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V
      Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
