Inspection Procedure

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from 1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from 2.

READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
1. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
2. Check that the light control sensor operates in DATA LIST (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
- OK: REPLACE BODY ECU
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
1. Turn the ignition switch ON and intent tester main switch on.
2. The value of the illumination rate should change in the following range when the light sensor is put in the light or covered by a hand.
  OK: 0.8 to 22.0 ms
  
  HINT:
  
  This is the time to be taken for the light sensor to generate one circle of frequency according to the brightness.
- NG: REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE BODY ECU
