Rear Airbag Sensor: Installation

CAUTION:
Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (see PRECAUTION
).
- INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR
- Install the airbag sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 17.5 N*m (178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
CAUTION:- If the airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
- Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the airbag sensor.
- Connect the connector.
- Install the airbag sensor with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL STRIKER PLATE
- INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL REAR MAT SET PLATE
- INSTALL SEAT BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER
- INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
- INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION
).
- CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
- Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
