Inspection Procedure

CHECK NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE (CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB RH WIRE)
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
3. Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor and the curtain shield airbag RH.
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
6. Measure the voltage between the body ground and ICR+ of the C30 No. 2 floor wire connector on the curtain shield airbag RH (curtain shield squib RH) side.
  Standard voltage: Below 1 V

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE NO. 2 FLOOR WIRE

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
3. Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor.
4. Using a service wire, connect ICR+ and ICR- of the C30 No. 2 floor wire connector on the curtain shield airbag RH (curtain shield squib RH) side.
5. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
6. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
7. Clear the DTC stored in memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
9. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
10. Check the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
  OK: DTC B1163/82 is not output.

NG: REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB RH
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
3. Connect the curtain shield airbag RH (curtain shield squib RH) connector.
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
6. Clear the DTC stored in memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
7. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
9. Check the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
  OK: DTC B1163/82 is not output.
