Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (SERVICE CHECK MODE) 
    1. See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  .
    • NG: TROUBLESHOOT FOR EACH DIAGNOSIS 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R36 receiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND (RESISTANCE)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      R36 - 20 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND (VOLTAGE)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R36-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      R36-11 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC or ON 10 to 14 V
      • NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
      • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. CHECK AVC-LAN CIRCUIT 
    1. See AVC-LAN CIRCUIT  .
    • NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY OR AVC-LAN CIRCUIT 
    • OK: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY
