PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER
1. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the intelligent tester main switch ON.
3. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the intelligent tester.
4. Check that the steering column length becomes short (long) and confirm that the telescopic position value changes when the ACTIVE TEST is carried out.
  OK: Steering column length must be short (long). Telescopic position value must be changed.
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK TELESCOPIC MOTOR
1. Disconnect the T4 telescopic motor connector and T9 tilt motor connector.
2. Remove the telescopic motor.
3. Connect the tilt motor connector to the telescopic motor. Then confirm that the telescopic motor moves when operating the manual switch.
NG: REPLACE TELESCOPIC MOTOR

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - MOTOR AND BODY GROUND)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
