Inspection Procedure

PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK

Warm up the engine.
Set the actuator check mode (see ACTUATOR CHECK ).
Press the DEF switch and change it to step operation.

Press the DEF switch and check the operation of the air inlet damper and the condition of the blower.

OK:

DISPLAY CODE REFERENCE

Display Code	Air Inlet Damper
0 to 1	FRESH
2	R/F (50%)
3	RECIRC
4 to 7	FRESH

OK: AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER

NG: GO TO NEXT STEP

CHECK AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR
1. Remove the air inlet servomotor.
2. Connect positive (+) lead to terminal MREC (5) and negative (-) lead to terminal MFRS (4) and check the air inlet servomotor.
  OK: The lever moves smoothly to REC position.
3. Connect positive (+) lead to terminal MFRS (4) and negative (-) lead to terminal MREC (5) and check the air inlet servomotor.
  OK: The lever moves smoothly to FRS position.
NG: REPLACE AIR INLET SERVOMOTOR

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER
