Vane Pump: Reassembly

COAT WITH POWER STEERING FLUID
INSTALL VANE PUMP SHAFT
INSTALL SIDE PLATE
1. Install a new O-ring to the front housing.
2. Install a new O-ring to the side plate.
3. Install the side plate as shown.
  HINT:
  
  Align the hole of the side plate with the hole of the front housing.

INSTALL CAM RING
1. Install the ring with the inscribed mark facing outward.
  HINT:
  
  Align the hole of the cam ring with the hole of the front housing.
INSTALL VANE PUMP ROTOR
1. Install the rotor with the inscribed mark facing outward.
2. Install a new snap ring to the vane pump shaft.

INSTALL 10 VANE PLATES
1. Install the plates with the round end facing outward.
INSTALL REAR HOUSING
1. Coat new gasket with power steering fluid and install it to the housing.
2. Temporarily install the 4 bolts.
3. Using SST, hold the vane pump assembly in a vise.
  SST 09630-00014 (09631-00132)
4. Torque the 4 bolts.
  Torque: 22 N*m (225 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL FLOW CONTROL VALVE
1. Coat the compression spring and flow control valve with power steering fluid.
2. Install the compression spring.
3. Install the flow control valve facing in the correct direction.
4. Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it to the union.
5. Install the pressure port union.
  Torque: 69 N*m (700 kgf*cm, 51 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL SUCTION PORT UNION
1. Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it to the union. Torque the bolt.
  Torque: 12 N*m (120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
