Idler Gear: Inspection

INSPECT IDLER GEAR
1. Using a micrometer, measure the idler gear diameter.
  Standard diameter: 38.48 to 38.50 mm (1.5149 to 1.5157 in.)
  
  Maximum diameter: 38.50 mm (1.5157 in.)
  
  If the diameter is greater than the maximum, replace the idler gear.

INSPECT IDLER LOW GEAR
1. Using a caliper gauge, measure the idler low gear diameter.
  Standard diameter: 45.52 to 45.54 mm (1.7922 to 1.7930 in.)
  
  Maximum diameter: 45.54 mm (1.7930 in.)
  
  If the diameter is greater than the maximum, replace the idler low gear.
