- CHECK PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
- Pull the lever upward with a force of approximately 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbf) and count the number of clicks.
OK: 4 to 6 clicks
- Pull the lever upward with a force of approximately 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbf) and count the number of clicks.
- ADJUST PARKING BRAKE
HINT:
Before adjusting the parking brake, make sure that the paring brake shoe clearance has been adjustment (see REASSEMBLY ).
- Loosen the lock nut and turn the turn buckle until the lever travel is correct.
- Tighten the lock nut.
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
