Engine Hood Courtesy Switch: Installation

- CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Install the hood lock control cable with the hood lock.
- INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH)
- Apply MP grease to the sliding surface of the lock.
- Install the hood lock (engine hood courtesy switch) with the 2 bolts and nut.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf cm, 71 in. lbf)
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
