Engine Hood Courtesy Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH) 
    1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION TABLE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 LOCK 10 kΩ or higher
      UNLOCK Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the lock assembly.
