Seat Heater Switch: Inspection

INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH

Inspect the seat heater switch continuity.

SEAT HEATER SWITCH

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
3 (HI) - 4 (IG)	HI	Continuity
5 (LO) - 6 (E)	HI	Continuity
3 (HI) - 4 (IG)	OFF	No continuity
5 (LO) - 6 (E)	OFF	No continuity
4 (IG) - 5 (LO)	OFF	No continuity
4 (IG) - 5 (LO)	LO	Continuity
1 - 2	Illumination circuit	Continuity

If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

Push the seat heater switch ON and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates when the switch is operated.

SEAT HEATER SWITCH ON AND SEAT HEATER SWITCH INDICATOR ILLUMINATES

Measurement Condition	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) -> Terminal 4 (IG) Battery negative (-) -> Terminal 6 (E)	HI	Illuminates
Battery positive (+) -> Terminal 4 (IG) Battery negative (-) -> Terminal 6 (E)	LO	Illuminates

If the operation is not as specified, replace the switch and inspect the circuits connected to other parts.
