Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly: Inspection

INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster.

Check if the lumbar support moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster motor connector terminals.

OPERATION OF THE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER

Measurement Condition	Operational Direction
Battery positive (+) -> 1 (2) Battery negative (-) -> 2 (1)	Release
Battery positive (+) -> 2 (1) Battery negative (-) -> 1 (2)	Hold

If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support.

Check the operation of the lumbar support motor circuit breaker.
HINT:

*: Passenger side
1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (1*) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (2*) on the lumbar support motor connector and move the lumbar support to the front end position.

2. Continue to apply voltage and check that a circuit breaker operation noise can be heard within 4 to 60 seconds.
3. Reverse the polarity and check that the lumbar support begins to move to the release side within approximately 60 seconds.
  If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support.
