Inspection Procedure

CHECK NO. 1 FLOOR WIRE (CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB LH CIRCUIT)
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
3. Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor center and the curtain shield airbag LH.
4. Measure the resistance between the body ground and ICL+ of the C29 No. 1 floor wire connector on the curtain shield airbag LH (curtain shield squib LH) side.
  Standard resistance: 1 MΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE NO. 1 FLOOR WIRE

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor.
2. Using a service wire, connect ICL+ and ICL- of the C29 No. 1 floor wire connector on the curtain shield airbag LH (curtain shield squib LH) side.
3. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
5. Clear the DTC stored in memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
8. Check the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
  OK: DTC B1167/85 is not output.

  Codes other than code B1167/85 may be output at this time, but they are not relevant to this check.
NG: REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB LH
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
3. Connect the curtain shield airbag LH (curtain shield squib LH) connector.
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
6. Clear the DTC stored in memory (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
7. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
9. Check the DTC (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
  OK: DTC B1167/85 is not output.

OK: USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
