Inspection Procedure

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from 1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from 2.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (VSC OFF INDICATOR)

Select the ACTIVE TEST, generate a control command, and then check that the VSC OFF indicator light operates.

NG: Go to step 3

CHECK FOR DTC

Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check that the VSC TRAC warning light illuminates.

Check if the same DTCs are recorded.

CHECK WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the warning lights other than VSC OFF indicator light.
OK: Go to step 5

NG: GO TO NEXT STEP

INSPECT RELAY (Marking: IG1 NO. 2)

Remove the IG1 NO. 2 relay from the cowl side junction block LH.

Measure the resistance of the relay.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

1 - 2	10 kΩ or higher
1 - 2	Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 3 and 4)

NG: REPLACE RELAY

OK: CHECK COMBINATION METER (COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT)

CHECK VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT
1. Check for open circuit in the combination meter circuit.
NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - VSC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
INSPECT CENTER DIFFERENTIAL SWITCH
1. Check the center differential switch (see CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH ).
NG: REPLACE CENTER DIFFERENTIAL SWITCH

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CENTER DIFFERENTIAL SWITCH - BODY GROUND)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
