Data List / Active Test
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Toyota Yaris. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- DATA LIST
HINT:
Using the Data List displayed by the Techstream, you can read the values of the switches, sensors, actuators and so on without parts removal. Reading the Data List as the first step of troubleshooting is one method of shortening labor time.
NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the tester on.
- Select the following items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT/Data List.
- In accordance with the display on the tester, read the Data List.DATA LIST REFERENCE

- ACTIVE TEST
HINT:
Performing the Active Test using the Techstream allows the relay, VSV, actuator and so on to operate without parts removal. Performing the Active Test as the first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten labor time.
It is possible to display the Data List during the Active Test.
- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the tester on.
- Select the following items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test.
- In accordance with the display on the tester, perform the ACTIVE TEST.ACTIVE TEST REFERENCE
