Typical Malfunction Thresholds

All of the following conditions met: OFF malfunctions (a), (b) and (c)
2 detections are necessary per driving cycle.
1st detection: Temporary flag ON
2nd detection: Pending fault code ON
OFF malfunction (a):
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
| Input speed/Output speed (NT/NO) NT: Input (turbine) speed NO: Internal counter shaft speed |
1.50 or more and less than 1.80 (This means actual gear is 2nd) |
OFF malfunction (b):
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
| Input speed/Output speed (NT/NO) | 0.95 or more and less than 1.09 (This means actual gear is 3rd) |
OFF malfunction (c):
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
| Input speed/Output speed (NT/NO) | 0.95 or more and less than 1.09 (This means actual gear is 3rd) |
[ON malfunction]
All of the following conditions met: ON malfunctions (a), (b) and (c)
ON malfunction (a):
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
| Input speed/Output speed (NT/NO) | 2.75 or more and less than 3.35 (This means actual gear is 1st) |
ON malfunction (b):
TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS
| Input speed/Output speed (NT/NO) | 0.64 or more and less than 0.78 (This means actual gear is 4th) |
