Inspection Procedure

INSPECT FUSE (GAUGE2, ECU-B, IG2)
1. Remove the GAUGE2 fuse from the instrument panel junction block.
2. Remove the ECU-B fuse from the No. 2 relay block.
3. Remove the IG2 fuse from the No. 1 relay block.
4. Measure the resistance of the fuses.
  Standard resistance:
  
  Below 1 Ω
NG: REPLACE FUSE

OK: Go to next step

INSPECT IG2 RELAY

Remove the IG2 relay from the No. 1 relay block.

Measure the resistance of the relay.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
3 - 5	10 kΩ or higher
3 - 5	Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

NG: REPLACE IG2 RELAY

OK: Go to next step

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

Disconnect the E19 meter connector.

Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage

STANDARD VOLTAGE

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
E19-22 (B) - Body ground	Always	10 to 14 V
E19-21 (IG+) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	10 to 14 V

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance

STANDARD RESISTANCE

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
E19-33 (ET) - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
