REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback 5 Door): Installation

CAUTION: Always use "Torx" socket wrench E10 when installing the rear seat.

INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER
1. Engage the 2 claws and install the rear seat shoulder belt cover.

INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
1. Install the roof headlining with the clip.

INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER
1. Engage the 4 claws and install the seat belt anchor cover.

INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
1. Check the angle of inclination required to lock the retractor.
  1. Gently incline the retractor from its initial position. Check that the belt does not lock when the retractor is inclined 15° or less in any direction. Also, check that the belt locks when the inclination of the retractor is 45° or more.
    NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor.
    
    If the operation is not as specified, replace the rear seat outer belt.

2. Hook the lower stay of the retractor onto the 2 body hooks and install the retractor with the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

3. Insert the hook into the body hole and install the bracket with the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
4. Check that the ELR locks.
  NOTE: Perform the check with the rear center seat outer belt installed.
  1. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
    If the operation is not as specified, replace the rear center seat outer belt.

5. Install the through anchor with the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

6. Engage the 2 claws and close the slip joint cover.

7. Install the 2 tongue plates.

INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH
1. w/ Curtain Shield Airbag:
  1. Install a new special clip.
  2. Pass the rear seat outer belt and the rear center seat outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish.
  3. Engage the 5 clips and install the roof side inner garnish.

2. w/o Curtain Shield Airbag:
  1. Pass the rear seat outer belt and the rear center seat outer belt through the slit in the roof side inner garnish.
  2. Engage the 5 clips and install the roof side inner garnish.

3. Engage the 4 claws and install the center belt guide.
