FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Sedan): Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag). (See PRECAUTION )

NOTE: Always use "Torx" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).
REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. Push in the lock button of the front seat headrest support and remove the front seat headrest.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
1. for Driver Side:
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.
  2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.
  3. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

2. for Front Passenger Side:
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.
  2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.
  3. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
  4. Disconnect the occupant detection ECU connector.

3. Move the front seat to its most rearward position.
4. Using "Torx" socket wrench E10, remove the 2 bolts from the front side.
5. Move the front seat to its most forward position.
6. Using "Torx" socket wrench E10, remove the 2 bolts from the rear side.
7. Remove the front seat.
