FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): Removal

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag). (See PRECAUTION )

NOTE: Always use "Tone" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag).
REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. Push in the lock buttons of the front seat headrest support and remove the front seat headrest.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
1. for Driver Side:
  1. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
  2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.
  3. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.

2. for Front Passenger Seat:
  1. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
  2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.
  3. Disconnect the occupant classification ECU connector.
  4. Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.

3. Using "Torx" socket wrench E10, remove the 4 bolts and the front seat.
