FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): Installation

NOTE: Always use "Tone" socket wrench E10 when installing the front seat.

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
NOTE: Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.
1. Insert the 2 location pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the most forward position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.
2. Using "Torx" socket wrench E10, install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.
  Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)
3. Move the front seat to the most rearward position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.
4. Using "Torx" socket wrench E10, install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the rear side.
  Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

5. Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.
  HINT:
  
  If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, adjust the seat tracks by loosening the bolts.
6. for Driver Side:
  1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Connect the airbag connector.
  2. Connect the buckle switch connector.
  3. Install the clamp.

7. for Front Passenger Side:
  1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
    1. Connect the airbag connector.
  2. Connect the occupant classification ECU connector.
  3. Connect the buckle switch connector.
  4. Install the clamp.

INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. Push in the 2 lock buttons of the front seat headrest supports and install the 2 front seat headrests.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
