FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback): Disassembly

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat adjuster frame could cause injuries to your hands.

HINT:

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE
1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Remove the screw.
2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

1. Remove the screw.
2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER PAD
1. Remove the front seatback cover band.

2. for Clip Type:
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
3. for J Hook Type:
  1. Disengage the 2 hooks.
4. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
  1. Remove the hook tape from the front seat cushion cover pad fixing cover.

5. Disengage the 2 claws and 9 hooks, and remove the front seat cushion cover pad.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
1. Remove the 3 hog rings.

2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support.
  HINT:
  
  Use the same procedure for both sides.

REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER (for Walk in Seat Type)
1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER BEZEL (for Walk in Seat Type)
1. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the reclining remote control lever bezel.

REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER PAD
1. Remove the front seatback cover pad.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (W/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
1. Remove the airbag connector and the 3 clamps.

2. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clamps.

3. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat side airbag.

1. Remove the screw.
2. Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.

1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

1. Remove the screw.
2. Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side)
1. Disengage the pin and remove the seat position sensor protector.

2. Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, remove the bolt and the seat position sensor.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)
1. Disconnect the 5 connectors.
2. Remove the 2 clamps and the front seat wire.

REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)
1. Disengage the claw and remove the occupant classification ECU.
