Cylinder Head, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold: Disassembly

REMOVE WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG NO. 1
1. Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the taper screw plug and the gasket.
REMOVE VALVE LIFTER
HINT:

Keep the valve lifters in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.

REMOVE WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG NO. 2
1. Using an 8 mm hexagon wrench, remove the taper screw plug.
REMOVE INTAKE VALVE
1. Using SST, compress the valve spring and remove the 2 retainer locks, retainer and valve spring.
  SST 09202-70020(09202-00010)
  
  HINT:
  
  Keep the valves, valve springs, spring seats and spring retainers in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.

REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE
1. Using SST, compress the valve spring and remove the 2 retainer locks, retainer and valve spring.
  SST 09202-70020 (09202-00010)
  
  HINT:
  
  Keep the valves, valve springs, spring seats and spring retainers in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.
REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL
1. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the oil seal.

REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT
1. Using compressed air and a magnetic finger, remove the valve spring seats.
REMOVE STUD BOLT
1. Using "Torx" socket wrenches E5 and E7, remove the 7 stud bolts.
REMOVE CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP SETTING RING PIN
