On-Vehicle Inspection

INSPECT PRESSURE SENSOR

Check the wire harness.

Disconnect the connector of the pressure sensor.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
1 - Body ground	Below 1 Ω

Turn the ignition switch ON.

Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
1-3	4.7 to 5.3 V

Check the pressure sensor.

Set the manifold gauge.
Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.
Warm up the engine.
Switch A/C ON.

Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between connector terminals 6 (PRE) and 11 (SG-1) of the air conditioner amplifier.

HINT:

Check from the rear of the connector while the it is connected to the air conditioning amplifier.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Refrigerant Pressure	Specified Condition
0.196 to 3.14 MPa (2.0 to 32 kgf/cm² )	0.76 to 4.74 V
